Jeremy Langdale...Guitars and Vocals
Born and Raised on Long Island, NY. playing clubs with several bands, then moved to NYC to play with some interesting characters back in the roaring eighties, mostly as a 2nd guitar with some backup vocals. Moved back to Long Island in the nineties, playing with Mad Dog and the Blues Man, and a few gigs with a 4 pc. called Bandit. Settled in the Hudson Valley in 2000. Decided to start singing lead vocals after auditioning too many bad singers. Playing steadily for TNG, he still gets out and plays some solo acoustic stuff, and also plays with some other projects like Rebel Red and Full Circle. check out his personal site for info on all things Big Jay related:

Steve Tanzcyn...All Things Percussion
From the West Coast to the East Coast to The Keys back again, Stevie T has done it all. Stevie has many credits...from Brass Tax, to No Money Down...to Elvis (he is still alive, by the way) and Sundance, Side F/X.....I think I'm running out of room.
When Stevie isn't pounding out one hell of a rhythm on his DWs he's slapping those Congas and making beautiful music! Just come to one of our shows and watch Stevie rapping out a rhythm on the rafters, tables, chairs and yes....even Biggie's guitar! Folks it's a show you just can't miss!

Ray Vasilev, Bass and Vocals
Originally from Port Jervis, NY, playing locally with bands like CIA, he moved to Los Angeles to work with many types of club bands, studio sessions all over LA-LA Land, he returned to the Hudson Valley a few years ago and hooked with long time friend, Steve Tanczyn. They have been playing together ever since.

Jack Kowet
In the late 80's, and early 90's, he played original music, in the NYC club scene (CBGBS, Wetlands, etc.), with Funk Nervosa. After a lengthy haitus, he began playing the blues, performing extensively in the tri-state area with Lee Delray, as well as Eric Langberg; also performing gigs with Bobby Kyle, Mike Quick, Dan Brother, Teddy Young, and Gary Curtis' group No Money Down.

The New Guys History
The New Guys are Jeremy Langdale, SteveTanczyn, Ray Vasilev, and Jack Kowet. Did you ever wonder why we became The New Guys?

Let's see now.  Should we go back to 1978?  Maybe not.....though Stevie and Ray played in a band called "Brass Tax"  with Dave Adams and Don Riker back in '78.  Funny how life has a way of Circling around.

Anyhow "TNG" began in March 2004.  Ray and Stevie met up again after Ray returned from California.  The original lineup was Stevie - Drums, Ray - Bass/Vocal, Pete Prieto - Lead Guitar/Vocal, Al Crum - Rhythm Guitar/Vocal.

The next line (July '04) up Al was replaced by Elliot Kayne who stayed with us for a few gigs.

Elliot was( August '04) replaced by original member Al and Lara Tovrea was added to the lineup on Rhythm Guitar/Lead Vocals.

Pat Burns played pedal steel guitar with us for a few months in the summer of 04.

Al left and we recruited Jeremy Langdale (Biggie) Sept 04.

Somewhere along the way we picked up "Moose"  Patrick Faircloth!   Thanks Moose, that double neck 6/12 SG sure looked heavy!

Shortly thereafter, Lara left the band and Don Riker joined as Lead Guitar Player/Vocalist for a few gigs.

Ray Vasilev moved to San Antonio, Texas. We recruited our old friend Chuck Magos on bass, and brought in a whole new sound with sax player extroadinaire, Jack Kowet.

Chuck left the band to persue other interests at the same time Ray decided he didn't like Texas. So now he's back, kicking out the bottom end.

Gary Brooks started sitting in with us on keys and sax in Spring of 08. We asked him to play with us full time recently and it's been a blast playing with him.

We also have had a few guests show up along the way we would like to thank:
Don Riker - Thanks Don, just as good as it was the first time!
       Mike Mcmahon -  Ni
ce harping M1!
Don Herzog -  Thanks for filling in on drums
Dominique - Long Live the Layton Hotel Dom,  Never had a night like it since!
Anya - Keep singing the blues baby!
Patrick Faircloth -  Still have that doubleneck?
Jeff Langdale - Keep blowing that harp buddy, we hope you enjoy retirement in Costa Rica!
Ed Rivera -  Great Conga/Percussion player thanks Ed!
       Big Dick Lally -
